About the role

  • Be part of the Leadership team that is responsible for providing Aerospace level certification oversight.
  • You will be responsible for adherence to the Honeywell and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Partnering for Safety Plan (PSP)
  • Work with members of leadership from various product groups to ensure TSO projects are compliant with regulations and the Honeywell TSO manual.
  • Provide technical leadership to a group of talented professionals who provide expertise to facilitate the successful installation and certification of Honeywell products.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring junior level Certification Engineers.
  • Providing guidance in work estimates and project schedules.
  • Coordinating with Aftermarket and Product Program managers.
  • Supporting technical and certification strategy discussions with customers and internal Honeywell stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent discipline
  • 8 years experience in the development and certification of avionics systems & equipment
  • A US Citizen or permanent resident due to export control and ITAR restrictions.
  • Ability to travel
  • Previous or current FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) delegation or ODA Engineering Unit Member
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft wiring and associated documentation is preferred
  • Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, flight controls, flight management systems is an asset
  • Demonstrated communication skills with both internal and external customers as well as leadership
  • Self-directing with ability to manage to schedules & metrics is preferred
  • A proven ability for fostering excellent customer/certification agency relationships is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods is preferred.
