About the role
- Architect, design, integrate, and validate various interconnected, advanced aerospace systems
- Lead major work packages, coordinate across hardware and software teams
- Ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements
- Recognized as a technical expert and decision maker on key programs
- Own system-level requirements, ensure compliance through traceability
- Own system integration and verification at the product or system level
- Support both internal and customer facing technical review
- Lead risk management activities and failure effects analysis (FMEA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency
- Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements
- Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- At least 6 years of Systems Engineering experience
- Proven experience in datalink communications systems
- Deep knowledge and experience with ARINC 664, CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems
- Experience with Aerospace, Airsim, Multisim, MATLAB, Teamcenter, DOORS, JIRA
- Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC, MIL-STD-1553, CAN)
- Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
- Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
- Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
- Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers
- An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
