About the role

  • design, integrate, and validate advanced aerospace systems spanning communications management functions (CMF), Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms.
  • serve as a key technical contributor and lead for small to medium sized technical projects.
  • lead system integration and verification at the product or system level.
  • own project or systems requirements, ensure compliance through traceability.
  • lead risk management activities and failure effects analysis (FMEA).
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency.
  • identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements.
  • travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • At least 5 years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • Experience in aerospace communications systems.
  • Experience with ARINC 664, CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems.
  • Experience with Aerospace, Airsim, Multisim, MATLAB, Teamcenter, DOORS, JIRA
  • Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC, MIL-STD-1553, CAN)
  • Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software.
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
  • An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
