About the role
- Design and develop cutting-edge hardware solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of aerospace products.
- Report directly to the Engineering Manager on a hybrid work schedule from Phoenix, Arizona.
- Impact the efficiency and effectiveness of aerospace solutions by driving innovation and ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in hardware design and development.
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Experience with hardware testing and validation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced Engineering degrees such as Electrical Engineering (EE) or related fields.
- Experience in hardware (V&V) Validation & Verification.
- Experience in leading hardware design projects.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
- Experience with DO-160 and DO-254.
- Experience with TSO and PMA for aerospace products.
