About the role
- Design, implementation, and operation of modern IT infrastructures (network, servers, virtualization).
- Configuration and maintenance of firewalls and network components (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWALL).
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows client/server operating systems and applications.
- Administration and management of Active Directory (user, group, and GPO management).
- Participation in IT security projects and technical risk analyses.
- Support in the introduction of new technologies and solutions.
- Documentation and quality assurance of IT systems.
- Collaboration with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Completed training as an IT specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience managing complex IT systems (server/client).
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking standards such as IEEE 802.11 and Ethernet.
- Experience in configuring and managing various networking devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
- Proficiency in VLAN configuration, routing protocols (e.g.,Layer 3), and QoS (Quality of Service) settings.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Active Directory, client and server operating systems).
- Solid understanding of network architecture, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, Azure), and IT security.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and storage systems.
- Ability to security policies, conducting risk assessments, and aligning systems with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).
- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
- Team player with strong communication skills and initiative.
- Excellent Dutch and good English skills, both written and spoken.
