About the role

  • As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and sustainment of cutting-edge navigation and sensor solutions for a variety of applications.
  • Your experience as a Mechanical Engineer will ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical designs.
  • You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.
  • In this role, you will be critical in the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable navigation and sensor products.
  • Your responsibilities will include the mechanical design and drafting of our navigation and sensor products using CREO Parametric.
  • You will also conduct Finite Element Analysis to validate designs, performing thermal and structural analysis to optimize product performance using NX Simcenter.
  • You will also support test and production to ensure the timely resolution of issues to deliver product on schedule.
  • Finally, you will also support the technical development of team through mentorship and coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 10 plus years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a particular focus on Defense and Commercial Electronics.
  • 5 plus years of experience and proficiency with ASME Y14 standards
  • 7 plus years of experience with other CAD software (CREO, NX) and design tools
  • 5 plus years of Earned Value Management experience
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (WE VALUE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (WE VALUE)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills (WE VALUE)
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities (WE VALUE)
  • Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis principles (WE VALUE)
  • Familiarity with electronics design and analysis for thermal and vibration environments (WE VALUE)
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design (WE VALUE)
  • Experience with product testing and validation (WE VALUE)
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (WE VALUE)
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements (U.S PERSONS REQUIREMENTS).
