About the role
- Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation (e.g., intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries)
- Ensure documentation meets internal clinical standards, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor adherence to evidence-based practices and Honeydew clinical protocols.
- Identify quality gaps, risks, and trends through audits and data review.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements (e.g., HIPAA, payer standards).
- Assist with preparation for audits, accreditation reviews, and payer reviews as needed.
- Partner with clinicians to support quality improvement through education
- Contribute to clinician training materials and quality-related education initiatives.
- Report directly to the Provider Operations Lead to track QA metrics and contribute to regular quality reports for leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to improve workflows and systems.
- Support the development and refinement of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), licensed in any state
- 5+ years of experience in a dermatology specific practice setting
- Strong understanding of behavioral health clinical documentation standards.
- Experience with clinical quality review, utilization review, compliance, or clinical auditing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote, and technology-driven environment.
- Prior experience in a QA, compliance, or clinical operations role (preferred)
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms (preferred)
- Experience working with EHR systems and data-driven quality initiatives (preferred)
