About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write and maintain test cases for assigned features, covering happy paths and obvious edge cases, and raise identified risks
- Own testing for assigned small features and bugs, delivering scoped work on time with little supervision
- Write reliable automated end-to-end tests in Playwright and API-level tests following team conventions
- Investigate flaky tests and maintain suite stability
- Run exploratory checks and write clear, reproducible bug reports
- Use AI tools to draft test cases, automation, and selectors, while identifying and correcting incorrect or unsafe output
- Apply patient-data guardrails by using synthetic test data and never including real patient data in test artifacts
- Provide concise code and test reviews, explain work direction, and give teammates useful feedback
- Report to the Director of QA and collaborate with senior quality and software engineers
- Progress along the Quality Engineer career track toward Quality Engineer III and beyond
Requirements
What you’ll need- Roughly 1–2 years of experience in software quality, testing, or test automation
- Working programming or scripting ability in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or C#
- Comfort writing and maintaining automated tests, ideally with Playwright or comparable UI and API testing frameworks
- Comfort with Git, running a test suite, and basic debugging independently
- Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar, with review of their output
- Clear bug reports, useful reviews, and the habit of discussing one's own work
- Track record of finishing scoped work on time with little supervision
- Genuine interest in healthcare and protecting patients using the platform
