About the role
- Lead the technical direction and coordination of the IT infrastructure team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Guide, support, and coach junior administrators to help them reach their full potential and technical proficiency
- Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and actively promote a culture of continuous professional development
- Plan, operate, and further develop the IT infrastructure to ensure it remains modern, scalable, and efficient
- Administer and optimize the network environment, including LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and firewall configurations
- Manage and enhance the server landscape across both Windows and Linux environments
- Ensure stable and secure IT operation by maintaining high uptime and system integrity
- Design and implement robust IT security measures to protect the organization from emerging threats
- Oversee monitoring, performance optimization, and incident management to minimize downtime
- Manage relationships with external service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and cost-effectiveness
- Contribute to IT projects and take on technical project leadership to drive innovation
- Document and continuously improve IT processes to streamline workflows and maintain high standards of operation
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional training
- Several years of proven experience in IT system administration with a track record of handling complex environments
- Expertise in networking (LAN, WAN, routing)
- Deep understanding of IT security (network and endpoint security, monitoring, and incident response)
- Proficiency in virtualization (e.g., Azure Stack HCI or Hyper-V)
- Strong expertise in cloud services, with a focus on AWS
- Experience in functional leadership, mentoring, and technical project management
- A structured, independent work style combined with strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
