About the role

  • Support in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in SAP FI
  • Balance reconciliations (bank, provisions, accruals, intercompany)
  • Review and correction of subledger data such as AP, AR and fixed assets
  • Responsible for the timely reconciliation and elimination of intercompany postings
  • Support in providing documentation and reconciliations for audits and review requests
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and optimize templates and checklists
  • Use modern AI tools to improve data quality and efficiency in accounting

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or a degree with a focus on Finance/Accounting
  • Initial practical experience in accounting (internships, working-student positions or entry-level roles)
  • Basic knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) accounting and bookkeeping
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP FI) and strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of HGB fundamentals, account logic and plausibility checks
  • Fluent German and good English skills
