About the role
- Demand assessment and materials planning
- Obtaining and comparing quotes, placing orders, and checking order confirmations
- Schedule monitoring to ensure timely material availability at the plant and on site
- Maintaining and developing supplier relationships, including evaluation and coordination in case of deviations
- Checking incoming invoices for quantity and price accuracy
- Maintaining order parameters in the ERP/inventory management system
- Close collaboration with construction management, production, engineering and warehouse
- Master data maintenance & data processing
- Active communication with suppliers and internal departments
Requirements
- Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Initial experience in purchasing advantageous, ideally in the construction or timber sector
- Structured and independent working style
- Strong communication skills and negotiation ability in dealings with suppliers
- Confident user of MS Office and ERP systems
