About the role
- Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children and teens in reaching their full potential
- Work one-on-one with clients in home, school, or clinics
- Follow personalized therapy plans created by clinical team
- Use play, routines, and activities to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors
- Schedule and conduct sessions (primarily 2–4 hours) with appointment-based scheduling
- Encourage independence and build everyday life skills
- Participate in training (2 weeks) and ongoing support from multi-disciplinary team
- Travel locally to clients; schedule clients within ~20 miles or 30 minutes to minimize commute
Requirements
- A high school grad (or above!) who enjoys working with children
- At least 6 months of experience—paid or unpaid (volunteer or exposure) —supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Energetic, patient, and ready to learn
- Valid driver’s license, own reliable source of transportation, and active auto insurance
- Willing to travel locally for sessions with clients (30 minutes or less)
- Must be available at least 4 days per week, for a minimum of 15 hours after 3pm
- Part-Time Afternoons availability; sessions primarily 2-4 hours each
- Associate or Bachelor's degree (bonus)
- ABA experience or RBT Certified (bonus)
- Experience managing maladaptive behaviors (non-compliance, elopement, aggression, self-injury) (bonus)
- Bilingual (bonus)
