About the role
- Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children and teens with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Work one-on-one with clients in their home, school, or one of our clinics
- Follow a personalized therapy plan created by the clinical team
- Use play, routines, and activities to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors
- Encourage independence and build everyday life skills
- Provide support during 2–4 hour sessions; appointment-based scheduling
- Sessions take place in clinics, clients' homes, or community locations and are scheduled within ~20 miles or 30 minutes of your home
- Must be available at least 4 days per week, minimum 15 hours after 3pm
- Receive training, supervision, and support from a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- A high school grad (or above!) who enjoys working with children
- At least 6 months of experience—paid or unpaid (volunteer or exposure) —supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Someone energetic, patient, and ready to learn
- Valid driver’s license, own reliable source of transportation, and active auto insurance
- Willing to travel locally for sessions with clients (30 minutes or less)
- Passion for working with children and youth with developmental disabilities
- Bonus Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Bonus Qualifications: ABA experience or RBT Certified
- Bonus Qualifications: Experienced and comfortable managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors (non-compliance, elopement, aggression, self-injury, etc.)
