About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Accounting/Finance department with administrative activities.
  • Supervise and manage the daily work of Staff Accountants (2-4).
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Processes cash receipts journals for approval by the Billing Manager.
  • Review and approve the Journal Entries of Staff Accounts.
  • Prepares journal entries to support proper reporting of revenue and costs.
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing month-end close procedures.
  • Analyzes records of transactions to determine the accuracy and completeness of entries.
  • Prepares financial reports including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex written and oral communication
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate options
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting from a four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office
  • Detail oriented and task driven
