About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Accounting/Finance department with administrative activities.
- Supervise and manage the daily work of Staff Accountants (2-4).
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned in a timely and accurate manner.
- Processes cash receipts journals for approval by the Billing Manager.
- Review and approve the Journal Entries of Staff Accounts.
- Prepares journal entries to support proper reporting of revenue and costs.
- Responsible for coordinating and executing month-end close procedures.
- Analyzes records of transactions to determine the accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Prepares financial reports including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting
- Ability to read and comprehend complex written and oral communication
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate options
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting from a four-year college or university
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office
- Detail oriented and task driven
