About the role

  • Responsible for repair and preventative maintenance of property building, grounds, and mechanical equipment
  • Complete work orders and repairs in a timely and thorough manner
  • Maintain cost effectiveness in building repairs and equipment
  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
  • Evaluate condition of equipment and make recommendations for repair or replacement
  • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment, locate causes, and correct problems
  • Advise management regarding safety and cost effectiveness of equipment operation
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Prepare written materials (repair status, activity logs) to document activities and convey information
  • Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability
  • Perform preventive maintenance and assist with installation of equipment
  • Perform all work with guest service in mind, minimizing equipment and operational downtime
  • Oversee completion and documentation of work orders, ensuring accuracy of materials, labor, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to safety, risk management, and environmental policies
  • Train BME I for basic troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain relevant industry knowledge through continuing education and training
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
  • Electrical or Plumbing Technical degree / certification
  • Four (4) years of experience as Building Maintenance Engineer licensed as an Electrician or Plumber
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Experience with basic plumbing or electrical systems, product manuals, schematics, troubleshooting and reading mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480v
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and draw schematics and diagrams
  • Ability to give an accurate estimate of time and material necessary for a given project
  • Ability to learn and use electronic test equipment and related tools
  • Demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct
  • Working knowledge of company internal controls and Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License required
  • Certifications: Journeyman or Trade Certification, OSHA 10, Drivers’ License
