About the role
- The GIS Analyst III serves as the project coordinator and senior technical resource for DRIS geospatial modernization efforts
- Coordinate project tasks across the GIS team and act as the primary liaison between contractor management and the federal COR
- Lead development of geospatial dashboards, web applications, and visualization tools that support DRIS and OTS leadership
- Develop scripts and automation tools to strengthen geospatial workflows and parcel fabric processes
- Apply cartographic and spatial analysis techniques to produce mapping products tailored to stakeholder needs
- Perform mapping of legal land descriptions for parcels, tracts, rights-of-way, leases, and other encumbrances from TAAMS
- Support the migration of Land Area Code (LAC) data into the ESRI Enterprise Parcel Fabric and help refine its workflow
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- Strong knowledge of legal land descriptions, rights-of-way, and lease records
- Advanced proficiency with ESRI technologies, including ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Parcel Fabric
- Experience developing dashboards, scripts, and automated workflows
- Ability to coordinate project activities and communicate clearly with both technical and program stakeholders
- Strong understanding of geospatial data standards and metadata requirements, including BIA-compliant metadata
- Demonstrated ability to document workflows and establish repeatable processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
