About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for MAP Growth literacy solutions
- Identify portfolio investment opportunities across NWEA and HMH solutions
- Make data-informed tradeoff decisions across features, investments, and timelines
- Own revenue growth, margin performance, and portfolio health
- Partner with Product, Sales, Finance, and Product Marketing on pricing and growth strategies
- Develop business cases and monitor commercial performance metrics
- Establish standards for product discovery, prioritization, and delivery
- Drive disciplined roadmap execution with measurable outcomes in partnership with Research and Engineering
- Lead, hire, mentor, and inspire the product management team
- Set objectives and foster a collaborative high-performing team environment
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and align teams around priorities and tradeoffs
- Collaborate on go-to-market strategy and launch activities
- Ensure alignment and integration across the broader assessment ecosystem
- Serve as a product subject-matter expert internally and externally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 7–10 years of product management experience
- 3+ years leading a product team
- Strong commercial orientation with proven ability to manage product line financial outcomes
- Proven ability to define, communicate, and deliver product roadmaps through cross-functional teams while managing competing priorities
- Experience in the education assessment sector with depth in literacy assessment and/or literacy instruction
- Ability to anticipate and make timely decisions resulting in effective products, programs, scalable processes, and business outcomes
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, colleagues, and industry experts
- Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills
- Proven ability to negotiate favorable stakeholder outcomes for complex problems and scenarios
- Pragmatic product marketing certification or similar preferred but not necessary
- Experience leading product migration or product integration projects preferred but not necessary
- Ability to collaborate via face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and online meetings
- Ability to travel for work purposes up to 20%
