About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design and development of HMH Equipment Control System solutions
- Take end-to-end ownership of control system software deliveries
- Diagnose complex issues in existing PLC systems
- Ensure robust integration of PLC systems with other automation components
- Define and maintain high standards for software quality
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to system architecture improvements
- Produce and ensure high-quality, structured documentation
- Act as a key interface with stakeholders
- Support project execution by proactively identifying risks
- Mentor and support other engineers to strengthen team capability
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical degree from a college or university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in control system software engineering
- Proven experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration
- Experience working with complex industrial automation systems and multi-disciplinary environments
- Experience in project delivery, including commissioning and customer interaction, is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Ability to make sound technical decisions
- Strong communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to guide and support others
- Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
