About the role
- Assist with the documentation of project designs, including 3D Revit models, physical models, and material or product research.
- Support the preparation of interviews, proposals, and design presentations.
- Contribute to the development of project documents across all project phases.
- Assist with all aspects of the plan check process.
- Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and drafting instruction bulletins for changes.
- Coordinate with team members and consultants to resolve conflicts or discrepancies.
- Participate in firmwide professional development activities and design charettes.
- Organize and generate working drawings and prepare complex plans, elevations, and details with supervisory guidance.
- Apply building code concepts such as accessibility, occupant loads, exits, fire-rated assemblies, ramps, stairs, and handrails.
- Estimate hours for assigned tasks and complete work within agreed-upon budgeted hours.
- Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Architectural degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of Revit experience producing architectural drawings
- Strong understanding of basic construction systems (walls, roofs, doors, windows)
- Advanced Revit proficiency, including editing commands, project setup, file management, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of drawing setup, layers, plotting/publishing, dimensions, blocks, attributes, file maintenance, and viewports
- Familiarity with architectural and construction terminology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; asks clarifying questions when needed
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and work efficiently
- Working knowledge of firm equipment, software, and documentation systems
- Ability to keep supervisors updated and coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and support staff
- Professional, respectful interaction with clients and team members
