About the role

  • Independent management of a dedicated client portfolio in tax advisory and annual financial statements
  • Tax planning and structuring advice for mid-sized companies and international clients
  • Optional: Technical leadership of a committed team — you act as the main contact and mentor
  • Review of tax assessments and negotiations with tax authorities
  • Support during tax audits and administrative appeals
  • Training and development of junior colleagues (e.g., tax assistants, audit assistants)
  • Participation in special projects, e.g., due diligence reviews, corporate restructurings, or digitalization initiatives
  • Regular collaboration with our HLB network partners — both nationally and internationally

Requirements

  • You hold a certified tax advisor qualification (passed Steuerberater exam)
  • Ideally around 4–5 years of professional experience in tax consulting, preferably in a mid-market firm (leadership experience is a plus)
  • Enjoy leading teams and developing employees
  • Client-focused mindset and enthusiasm for entrepreneurial thinking
  • Strong DATEV knowledge and an interest in digitalization and automation, confident use of MS Office, analytical thinking and an eye for detail
  • Team spirit, empathy, strong communication skills and initiative
  • You are interested in AI and digitalization and want to actively contribute to the further development of digital processes
