About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a first point of contact for routine People Team questions
- Maintain accurate employee records in People systems and personnel files
- Prepare, process, and track documentation related to new hires, employee changes, leaves, transfers, terminations, and other employment lifecycle events
- Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities
- Support benefit and leave administration processes
- Prepare and maintain standard employee reports, workforce metrics, and data audits
- Support employee engagement programs and initiatives
- Support recurring People Team activities
- Support the documentation and maintenance of People processes, templates, checklists, and guidance materials
- Coordinate the administration and tracking of required employment notices, workplace postings, and employee documentation across the U.S. and Canada
- Assist with California-focused People administration
- Support the administration and tracking of California-specific leaves, accommodations, and related employee communications
- Partner with People Business Partnering team members to document and improve California-specific People workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in human resources, employee services, recruitment coordination, administration, or a related role
- Experience supporting employee populations in the United States and Canada, with direct experience supporting employees in California
- General knowledge of California employment legislation and HR practices
- Familiarity with leave management processes and employee lifecycle administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-orientation across a matrixed environment
