About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and maintain VMware virtualization environments;
Maintain Linux (Red Hat) servers in high-availability environments;
Monitor, analyze, and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems;
Perform performance analysis and tuning for virtualized environments and Linux servers;
Manage VMware clusters, storage, vMotion, DRS, and High Availability (HA);
Administer firmware and BIOS updates and manage server hardware infrastructure;
Automate tasks using PowerCLI, Ansible, and Bash;
Manage configurations and inventory using Satellite and Puppet.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, plus postgraduate specialization in technology;
Experience in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and in administration and support of VMware environments;
Experience administering Linux (Red Hat) servers;
Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vMotion, DRS, High Availability, Lifecycle Manager, Storage, Single Sign-On, and integration with Active Directory;
Experience with performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting of Linux and VMware environments;
Knowledge of hardware architecture for virtualization, server management, and BIOS/firmware updates;
Hold at least one of the following certifications: VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization) or higher and/or RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or higher.
