Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality software – planning, implementing and automating quality assurance tests.
Plan, define, implement and identify tests (for example: regression, functional, data validation, system integration, exploratory, load or performance) for new and/or existing functionality.
Monitor the testing process and results in each cycle and evaluate the overall quality.

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field, or completion of any bachelor's degree accompanied by a postgraduate certificate.
Test case development.
Concepts of failure, defect and error.
Test criteria.
Test strategies.
Specification of test plans.
V-model for testing.
Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Test procedures.
Test requirements.
Unit, acceptance, integration tests and TDD.
Unit, integration, system/functional, acceptance/user-story, load, performance, vulnerability, usability and accessibility testing.
Automation of functional, unit and load tests using software tools such as: Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, JUnit and JMeter.
