About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support in the administration and maintenance of production automation;
Apply market best practices (ITIL) regarding production environment configuration;
Respond to requests via ticketing tools for changes, movement, or deletion of batch routines in Production;
Automate and improve internal processes;
Control and schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc schedules, whether automated or manual;
Define and negotiate activation/triggering processes with the responsible areas;
Chain condition codes for steps and jobs, execution classes, priorities, and storage management classes;
Specify job processing schedules according to business requirements;
Perform adjustments and improvement actions, and identify critical paths based on execution statistics and jobs eligible for parallel processing;
Prepare production planning documentation and operational procedures;
Provide support to the operations team;

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic to intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with Control-M Monitoring and Planning, Connect:Direct, JCL programming or scripts, and job scheduling for mainframe and non-mainframe (distributed) environments.
Basic/intermediate user-level knowledge of operating systems TSO, Windows, and Linux — including basic scripting logic (JCL or batch scripts).
