About the role

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams (Developers, DBAs, DevOps)
  • Use agile methodologies focused on continuous and predictable deliveries
  • Plan and execute migration projects of legacy databases in production environments with high data volume and minimal downtime
  • Participate in modernization projects for Java systems integrated with legacy databases
  • Monitor performance diagnostics (APM, logs, tracing)
  • Serve as the technical interface with business, infrastructure and security teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Java / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud — solid experience with legacy systems and refactoring
  • RESTful / SOAP APIs — modernization and versioning of legacy integrations
  • Asynchronous communication and messaging: RabbitMQ, Kafka (desired)
  • Relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL
  • Experience with migration, replication, optimization and query tuning
  • NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Redis (caching and distributed persistence)
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • Cloud (AWS or Azure) — use of managed database services (RDS, Cosmos DB, etc.)
  • Enterprise integrations and messaging — queues, brokers and legacy systems
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / OpenTelemetry
  • Security and data governance: encryption, authentication, access control
  • Automated testing and continuous integration: JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers
  • Version control and quality tools: Git, SonarQube, Code Review
