About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performing installations as well as preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections and overhauls on power transformers according to internal procedures
  • Applying and enforcing Hitachi Energy safety standards on all assignments
  • Planning, coordinating and optimizing field service assignments to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Advising customers on technical issues and optimization opportunities, and training customer personnel in operating our equipment
  • Preparing service reports and documentation after each assignment
  • Continuous training and updating of expertise on our new equipment and technologies
  • Actively contributing to continuous improvements within the service organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed technical training in mechanics, electrical engineering or a related field (e.g., locksmith, mechanic, polymechanic, automation technician)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and high awareness of safety requirements
  • Several years of relevant field service experience in servicing or maintaining large-scale equipment, ideally in the energy sector desirable
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuit diagrams, welding skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to undertake longer assignments within Switzerland (minimum 1 week)
  • Valid driving license category B
  • Good German language skills, spoken and written, and good English skills. French skills are a plus.
