About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform advanced commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on complex systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Execute service activities in compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Act as a trusted technical interface for customers during service execution and after-service follow-up.
  • Support customer training, technical briefings, and on-site guidance when required.
  • Provide clear technical explanations, recommendations, and improvement proposals to customers.
  • Ensure service activities comply with all Health and Safety internal procedures, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical input for service quotations, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities.
  • Coordinate with service coordinators, project managers, engineering, and supply chain to ensure efficient execution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–10 years of hands-on field service experience in industrial, electrical, automation, or power systems environments
  • Proven experience with complex installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle service activities
  • Background in customer-facing roles, working independently on-site and managing technical responsibility
  • Experience in service projects, outages, retrofits, upgrades, or system extensions is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Protection and control systems, communication networks
  • In depth knowledge of Substation Automation Systems such as MicroSCADA or similar will be beneficial
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, functional specifications and technical documentation
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work on customer sites, including occasional on-call or outage support
