About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • contribute to development of new technologies, concepts, and technical solutions through mechanical design engineering
  • define and develop MV switchgear integrated solutions for transformers
  • translate application and customer requirements into integrated system concepts
  • ensure proper integration of electrical equipment into mechanical design in collaboration with electrical experts
  • evaluate alternative design approaches considering performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • execute engineering tasks within Global and location centric R&D projects
  • participate in feasibility studies, simulations, and concept assessments
  • develop, modify, and maintain mechanical designs, models, and drawings using CAD tools
  • define and support prototype manufacturing, participate in testing campaigns, measurements, and validation activities
  • analyze test results and propose design improvements
  • collaborate with global technology teams, regional engineering, and stakeholders
  • ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design, mechatronics, or applications engineering
  • proficiency in 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo Parametric
  • strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing drawings, and the product development cycle from R&D to validation
  • experience in project-based environments with gate models
  • ability to apply IEC/IEEE standards with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • transformer or electrical industry experience
  • good command of English
