About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- contribute to development of new technologies, concepts, and technical solutions through mechanical design engineering
- define and develop MV switchgear integrated solutions for transformers
- translate application and customer requirements into integrated system concepts
- ensure proper integration of electrical equipment into mechanical design in collaboration with electrical experts
- evaluate alternative design approaches considering performance, cost, and manufacturability
- execute engineering tasks within Global and location centric R&D projects
- participate in feasibility studies, simulations, and concept assessments
- develop, modify, and maintain mechanical designs, models, and drawings using CAD tools
- define and support prototype manufacturing, participate in testing campaigns, measurements, and validation activities
- analyze test results and propose design improvements
- collaborate with global technology teams, regional engineering, and stakeholders
- ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field
- 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design, mechatronics, or applications engineering
- proficiency in 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo Parametric
- strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing drawings, and the product development cycle from R&D to validation
- experience in project-based environments with gate models
- ability to apply IEC/IEEE standards with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- transformer or electrical industry experience
- good command of English
