About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide hands-on field service support for power transformers, helping customers install, maintain, and restore critical electrical assets.
Your work will include installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and end-of-life services—often performed on-site in challenging field conditions.
Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, follow technical manuals, and complete detailed service activities that support equipment reliability and safe operation.
Work closely with service colleagues and customers to help extend transformer life, improve performance, and support the dependable operation of power grid infrastructure.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Associate Degree with 2 years of professional work experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of professional work experience
Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations and transformer field testing
Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing, and internal transformer components
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 85%
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders
