About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform studies and Finite Element simulations of stress from dynamic events during tenders and project execution
- Working in a multidisciplinary technical environment where mechanical and electrical considerations are necessary
- Convert theoretical results into reality in actual design suggestions in cooperation with product responsible
- Be part of R&D activities to ensure future competitiveness
- Interpret requirements and document procedures for seismic qualification of equipment
- Perform studies for sea fastening of critical equipment
- Review and approve supplier reports on seismic qualification
- Support business units in dynamic calculation area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor or Master of Science or higher in mechanical engineering
- Experience from seismic or other dynamic simulations with heavy equipment (platform, sea transport etc.) is a big merit
- Keen interest in or understanding of electrical aspects to combine Volts and Newton in design
- Prior experience in any of the technical areas is beneficial but not a demand
- Positive, problem-solving individual with team responsibility and willingness to learn
- General interest in technology
