About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the design organization responsible for control and protection systems.
- Define and implement the strategic vision for the design organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and designers.
- Oversee the end-to-end design process for control and protection systems.
- Establish and enforce robust design methodologies and best practices.
- Drive research and development initiatives with cutting-edge technologies.
- Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, sales, and service teams.
- Manage project portfolios, including resource allocation and budget control.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Act as a technical expert and thought leader for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in the design and development of control and protection systems.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI) and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in control architectures, communication protocols, and protection philosophies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Experience in using project management methodologies and tools.
