About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for supporting the development of regional energy market reports
- Act as an external customer-facing consultant working with Hitachi Energy’s Solution sets
- Enhance Hitachi Energy’s strategic consulting capabilities with best practice consulting advice
- Establish client contacts at a senior level and work with end-users at a strategic level and coach them
- Provide insight to Hitachi Energy product managers for software tool improvements and roadmaps
- Lead consulting projects of high complexity
- Model renewable, energy storage, hybrid or co-located resources, electric vehicles, demand response, and distributed energy resources
- Develop energy, capacity, ancillary services and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) price forecasts for the North American power markets
- Analyze and present a coherent narrative around regional power market trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or a related field
- 3 years of experience modeling North American power markets including macro-economic factors influencing those markets
- 3 years of experience in Consulting, including implementing energy solutions
- 3 years of experience Identifying and managing project issues and risks, including mitigation strategies and plans
- 3 years of experience Working in power production simulation and developing energy, capacity, ancillary services, and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) price forecasts for the North American electricity markets
