About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain front-end code for HitachiVantara.com, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards
  • Manage the web development queue, prioritizing and assigning tasks according to business needs and timelines
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager of Web Experience to execute the website roadmap, including new features and optimizations
  • Coordinate with our digital agency on AEM back-end development efforts, ensuring all work meets standards and delivery expectations
  • Manage and execute deployments through Adobe Cloud Manager, including pipeline configuration, branch management, and environment promotion across dev, staging, and production
  • Collaborate with design, content, analytics, and other cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Serve as the internal AEM front-end subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end and AEM-related issues in partnership with back-end developers
  • Support third-party integrations including marketing automation platforms, analytics, and API-driven content sources.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience; previous senior or lead responsibilities preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including component development and the AEM authoring/publishing lifecycle
  • Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager for CI/CD pipeline management, environment configuration, and deployment workflows
  • Proficiency with Git, including managing multiple remotes, branch strategies, and resolving merge conflicts across internal and vendor repositories
  • Proficiency in responsive design, mobile-first UI, and modern CSS architecture (Flexbox, Grid, BEM, SASS/SCSS, or similar)
  • Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous JavaScript patterns
  • Understanding of front-end performance optimization (code splitting, lazy loading, Lighthouse audits, web vitals)
  • Familiarity with Webpack and related front-end build tooling
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies and internal cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
