About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for sales of large HVDC solutions in Europe
  • Capture and negotiate large HVDC opportunities
  • Manage a tender team (tender managers, engineers, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Hitachi Energy account management and country representatives
  • Maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs and promote offerings
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop sales strategy
  • Steer capture teams and prepare offers with cost-optimized solutions
  • Drive negotiations to create added value for customers
  • Ensure successful contract outcomes using effective sales techniques
  • Share knowledge and collaborate internally to leverage resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University master’s degree in engineering, business administration, and/or economics/MBA
  • At least 10 years’ experience in large infrastructure project sales (EPC contracts)
  • Extensive commercial experience
  • Working experience with various cultures
  • Sales attitude with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • German or Dutch language proficiency is required, additional languages are a plus
  • Existing network/knowledge within the electricity sector is a plus
  • Competence in analyzing and managing complex business situations.
