About the role
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to global functional leaders in SCM, TTL, HSE, Quality, and Operations on all HR-related matters
- Translate business strategy into HR priorities and deliver tailored HR solutions that support functional goals and drive business outcomes
- Lead and execute global talent management initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential programs
- Drive workforce planning and analytics to identify current and future talent needs, skill gaps, and opportunities for optimization
- Oversee and advise on complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Partner with compensation and benefits teams to develop and implement competitive reward strategies
- Champion Hitachi's culture and values, promoting diversity, opportunity, and inclusion
- Collaborate with HSE leadership to ensure robust safety cultures, compliance with global HSE standards
- Support organizational change initiatives and transformations
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, diagnose challenges, and propose data-driven solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, CIPD) preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an international HR Business Partner role
- Demonstrated experience supporting functional areas such as Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, or HSE is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of global HR practices, employment law, and cultural nuances across various regions
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders in a matrixed organizational structure
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex HR concepts clearly and concisely
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives
- Strong analytical skills and experience using HR data to drive informed decision-making
- Experience with organizational development, change management, and talent management programs
- Ability to travel internationally as required
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
