About the role

  • Guarantee the conformity and compliance of the Telecom Integration & Physical Architecture design to Contractual Requirements.
  • Perform Design review of main subsystems, in particular the one related to Telecom subsystems, and performances affecting System and On-Board interfaces.
  • Manage the correct definition and resolution of all the main functional Interfaces
  • Provide expertise and support to design Integrated On Board Functionality
  • Support to Tender and Bid Team to carry out vehicle integration consistent with proficient System Configuration and System Architecture Deliverables
  • Support the definition of the main subsystem and system integrated test plan and procedures affecting the Vehicle and its interfaces
  • Support the project team to face Customer requests, clarification, Design review and requirements analysis
  • Attend and Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests), SAT (Site Acceptance Tests), SIT (System Integrated Tests) and lab tests
  • Strong Support to Execution of System Commissioning focusing on Vehicle and Telecom related Tests and Procedures
  • Ensure that each component of the Transport System performs correctly and consistently with the overall contractual requirements, applicable Norms and Regulations; providing a fully-fledged System Integrated environment.
  • Contribute to the Overall System Architecture Design by the identification of the interfaces among the main technological assigned sub-systems distributed along the system: on-board, wayside and central parts.
  • Preparation of the Telecom Integration & Physical Architecture deliverables, such as: “Overall System Architecture” (Level 0,1,2)drawings; “Vehicle System Architecture” drawing; “Main Data Flows Overview” diagram; “Main Subsystems Functional Interfaces” diagram; “Time Synchronization (Master Clock) Architecture” diagram; “Doors Coordination and Timing” Chronogram and document; “Test Track Architecture” diagram; “Training Center Architecture” diagram; “LAB or testing platform” diagram; “System architecture management plan” document; “System architecture technical description” document; Any other preliminary architectural diagram as needed (e.g., architectures associated with migration phases)
  • Management of the reviews/comments from subsystems through VAS/G-FOR process
  • Internal submission and/or official submission to the Client and management of Client's comments
  • Ensure the submission of deliverables to monitor System Architecture in order to control key factors affecting interfaces and system performances.
  • Definition and verification of the main functional interfaces among the technological sub-systems through the preparation of the “Functional Interfaces” drawing;
  • Support the definition of system guidelines for the alarms, events management and for Human Machine Interface Design process (e.g. checking alarm lists of subsystems)
  • Ensure the integration design activities for all Telecom subsystems within TLC-TLC and TLC-external systems
  • Identification and management of the main Internal and External Interfaces
  • Support site tests relevant to the Telecom Integration/ Stress Test to assure the overall performances
