About the role
- Possess a strong knowledge of power quality problems and are able to provide effective solutions for a variety of sectors, including industrial, transportation, renewables, and utilities. This includes being well-versed in active, passive, and hybrid solutions.
- Have hands-on experience in offering various power quality products is essential. You should be familiar with products such as APFC, TSC, AHF, SVG and BESS, and be able to offer them to meet the power quality challenges faced by customers.
- Conduct sizing calculations for reactive power compensation and harmonic mitigation equipment (Harmonic filters) to offer effective solutions using available products, in order to meet power quality challenges.
- Perform power quality studies at customer sites using power quality analyzers. You should also be able to guide service engineers in conducting PQ studies at customer sites. By analyzing the PQ data, you will be able to determine suitable solutions that address the specific requirements of each problem.
- Analytical skill and problem-solving ability for various power quality problems faced by the customer.
- Interact with customers and various internal stakeholders including sales, tendering, R&D, Product Specialists.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams to enhance communication and coordination in projects.
- Primary focus on tenders and projects in various segments such as Industrial, Renewables, Data Centre & Transportation sectors.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, specialization in Power Quality is preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of working experience as a Power quality Engineer, Project Technical engineer or any similar position.
- Thorough understanding of High, Medium, and Low voltage power quality products, such as AHF, TSC, SVG, BESS and Capacitor banks.
- Experience in conducting power quality studies and calculations (e.g. Reactive power flow, harmonics analysis, Design optimization, reliability & availability, and the ability to offer innovative power quality solutions)
- Strong Analytical skills and attention to details.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in English both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.
