About the role
- develop and implement global category strategies in line with business needs.
- nurture collaboration across regions and business units.
- oversee cost control processes and provide insights into pricing trends.
- lead RFx activities and run complex supplier negotiations.
- manage supplier lifecycle assessments, from qualification to desourcing.
- maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
- apply SCM tools and standards to ensure business continuity.
- support budget setting and help achieve sourcing performance targets.
- identify supply chain risks and create contingency plans.
- drive sustainability and responsible sourcing actions within your categories.
- guide and empower regional and local sourcing teams to improve performance.
Requirements
- degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- at least 10 years of experience in category management or strategic sourcing.
- strong record of successful negotiations and strategy execution.
- ability to analyze complex data, identify trends and turn insights into strategies.
- willingness to travel internationally to meet suppliers and stakeholders.
