About the role
- Study of current state of art in 2D and 3D simulation of transformers
- Analysis of performance parameters of dry transformers using 2D and 3D electromagnetic FEM calculations
- Develop automations for product assessment through electromagnetic and structural simulations
- Run feasibility studies and develop new concepts, design products and simulate expected performances
- Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products
- Lead product and technology development projects in dry, traction, and oil distribution transformers
- Support technology transfer from R&D to engineering department
Requirements
- MSc + 1 years of experience in Electrical Engineering field
- PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- Existing work experience in Electrical Engineering with focus on transformer design
- Background experience on acoustics of transformers
- Advanced knowledge of transformer design and performance prediction
- Experience in finite element analysis (ANSYS, COMSOL, FEM electromagnetic simulation tool)
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Matlab, C#)
- Experience in electric testing of transformers
- Project management skills
