About the role

  • Be part of Hitachi Energy’s mission to inspire the next, advancing a sustainable energy future for all, as you lead Service Sales for BU Service at the country level in Germany.
  • Take on a pivotal leadership role within the Local Service Unit, shaping how we support customers across the full service lifecycle and positioning Hitachi Energy as a long‑term, trusted partner.
  • Act as a connector across businesses, driving a true One Hitachi Energy Service approach in close collaboration with Product, Systems, and the HVDC, Power Electronics and Grid Automation Service teams.
  • Translate global and hub strategies into a clear, forward‑looking local service sales roadmap that accelerates profitable growth and strengthens installed base penetration.
  • Build Hitachi Energy’s position as a trusted long‑term service partner through authentic, sustainable customer relationships.
  • Lead, coach and develop the local Service Sales organisation — fostering high performance, engagement, curiosity and collaboration.
  • Identify untapped opportunities through market insight, data‑driven installed base analysis and close customer dialogue, bringing an entrepreneurial lens to what the business could be.
  • Drive excellence in sales execution, forecasting, pricing and risk management, ensuring transparency and quality in every decision.
  • Serve as a visible change agent — motivating teams toward an exciting future even when the path is still emerging.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Service Sales within an OEM environment, ideally in the energy or electrical infrastructure sector with a focus on Installed Base.
  • Proven ability to lead service sales teams and deliver results across complex, multi‑product portfolios.
  • A naturally open‑minded, strategic and creative thinker who challenges the status quo and seeks new ways to unlock value.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to explore new markets, develop new business models and shape future growth.
  • Experience working effectively in a matrix organisation, collaborating across functions, cultures and business units.
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to build trust at all levels — from operational teams to senior decision‑makers.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset, comfortable using data to shape decisions, innovate and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire teams through change, ambiguity and transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; fluent English and German required.
