About the role

  • You will lead the execution of medium/large size and technically complex projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environmental requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
  • You will coach and provide feedback for project staff, lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee project handover, execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • You will define, jointly with Project Controls department (or equivalent), all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
  • You will monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expense, and cash flow, identify, qualify, quantify, manage project risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • You will ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer, ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claim management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements.
  • You will work with Supply Chain Management (if available), and successfully procure all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers, support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiation, claim, and project change.
  • You will act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for the project issues, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • You will ensure compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives, ensure instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results, assess risks and safety hazards and implement actions to ensure people and equipment safety.

Requirements

  • You hold bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • More than 5 years Project Management experience.
  • PMP certified.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel; P6 and demonstrated Negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
