About the role

  • Drive sales of Hitachi Energy’s Distribution Automation portfolio
  • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth
  • Foster collaboration and ensure technical support to sales organization for identifying and qualifying opportunities
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor offerings to customer needs
  • Build new channel partners and perform cross/up/sales to existing channel partners
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations, sales bids and presentations to channel partners/distributors
  • Train channel partner/distributor sales personnel in product use and promotion
  • Provide technical support and solution design during pre-sales and post-sales phases
  • Understand client requirements for distribution automation and propose suitable solutions
  • Collaborate with related teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
  • Represent Hitachi Energy at events, exhibitions, and seminars
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation preferable, or closely related field
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in technical sales within the power distribution or automation sector
  • Fair knowledge of distribution automation solutions, protection and control, and communication protocols
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment within a regional structure
  • Experience working with OEMs, panel builders, Distributors and system integrators
  • Strong focus on understanding customer pain points and tailoring solutions accordingly
  • Experience working with EPCs, OEMs, panel builders, distributors and system integrators
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector
  • Familiarity with Distribution Automation solutions, protection relays, RTUs and communication products and solutions
  • Experience with utility procurement processes and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions
  • Preferred Skills in Technical Sales & Solution Selling, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Problem-Solving & Negotiation
