About the role

  • Execute daily customer activities, including order entry, tracking, and timely response to inquiries
  • Manage order coordination with local business units and communicate delivery timelines
  • Develop bids and proposals responsive to customer requirements using Hitachi Energy tools and processes
  • Write and revise proposal and contract documents, compile data for reporting scope, terms, cost, and profitability
  • Participate in customer and internal meetings to exchange information and review contract requirements
  • Investigate technical issues and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Execute change orders and assist with collection of overdue invoices
  • Provide periodic reporting for outstanding orders, Vendor Managed Inventory, or Blanket Order management
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of customer support experience in Industrial, EPC, Utility, or related fields (5 years preferred)
  • General knowledge of power transmission and distribution products/systems; power generation experience preferred
  • Previous experience with business-to-business customer support
  • Familiarity with CRMs and web portals; knowledge of SAP and Salesforce preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
