Work as part of the Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers and report to the Global Product Manager for Industrial & Specialty Transformers
Collaborate with worldwide R&D centers, Hubs and local business teams to capture and translate customer requirements into product improvements and new product directions
Analyze market situation, international standards, and customer requirements and perform competitor analyses to identify technical product gaps and competitiveness opportunities
Manage technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power Transformers and support development of business cases for product development, transfer of technology, maintenance, and competitiveness with focus on Rail Infrastructure Transformers
Collect and validate market technical data, support new product development by translating market requirements into product roadmap inputs
Prepare and present technical communication materials for product launches and market positioning
Keep engineering, operations, sales, and channels informed on market, competition, quality, configurations, and trends
Support data quality improvement, participate in customer meetings, sales support, trade shows, and conferences on request
Ensure appropriate training material for Industrial and Specialty transformers, particularly Rail Infrastructure Transformers, is available internally and externally
Requirements
MSc or BSc Engineering degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in transformer engineering and/or research & development
Electrical design experience from working in a factory with production process and cost structure understanding
Technical knowledge of transformer portfolio and knowledge in full or in part of the rail infrastructure transformers
Proven ability to conduct market analysis and competitive assessments
Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Fluent English, experience with writing technical papers and/or reports
