About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and deliver practical, scalable, and secure technology solutions for the London Market
- Translate architectural blueprints and roadmaps into detailed solution designs
- Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Support integration with existing systems and processes while minimising disruption and technical debt
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback and guidance
- Work with product owners, developers, business analysts, development squads, and technical leads to understand requirements and constraints
- Translate architectural blueprints into actionable designs and support delivery teams throughout the lifecycle
- Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams on technical challenges and dependencies
- Liaise with Group Technology and vendors to meet compliance and interoperability standards
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles and governance frameworks
- Document solution designs for technical and non-technical audiences
- Support risk identification and mitigation during solution delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in solution architecture within insurance or financial services
- Strong understanding of application design, integration patterns, and cloud technologies
- Ability to balance technical innovation with practical delivery constraints
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with London Market processes and Lloyd’s market systems
- Experience with API-driven architectures and microservices
- Knowledge of security and regulatory requirements in financial services
- Collaborative and pragmatic mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
