About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Selling Home and Contents insurance to customers, having great conversations to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross sell and up sell our product line, based on customers' needs.
  • Speaking to existing customers and resolving their queries, through both phone and email.
  • You will have individual targets, which you are accountable for achieving. These are balanced between sales, quality and customer satisfaction while managing your time.
  • You will become an expert in our technical products and our IT systems.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and huddles to discuss problem solving, as well as reviewing your individual and team performance.
  • Working with other teams across the contact centre to provide good outcomes for our customers and Hiscox.
  • Our trainers will spend 3 weeks helping you build your knowledge of our products and systems. The training is varied and includes online and self-learning.
  • After training, you will move into an Academy to further strengthen your skills for another 4 weeks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Sales experience is desirable, as well as previous experience in hitting targets.
  • You enjoy speaking to people and providing a great customer experience is important to you.
  • You work well in autonomous environment and enjoy taking on extra responsibilities as you grow into the role.
  • You are driven, highly productive and a team player, who is receptive to feedback and always striving to improve.
  • You are resilient and don’t shy away from problems or challenges. Beating and surpassing business goals is what gets you out of bed in the morning.
