About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Installation, configuration and operation of Windows client and server systems
- Maintenance and development of virtualized server environments based on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
- Analysis and resolution of hardware and software issues in client and server environments
- Handling 1st- and 2nd-level support requests in our customers' IT environments
- Administration of IT security solutions (including endpoint protection, firewalls, WLAN infrastructure, e-mail security)
- Setup and maintenance of backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam)
- Coordination with customers, vendors and external service providers to implement technical solutions
- Documentation of IT systems, infrastructures and processes
- Development and operation of our managed service platforms for monitoring, patch management and automation
- Maintenance and further development of our internal IT infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a comparable qualification
- Experience operating Windows server and client environments
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V) as well as networks and IT security
- Experience with backup solutions and monitoring systems is an advantage
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoy working with customers and a strong service orientation
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken
