About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and on time
Prepare and post journal entries with proper support and attention to detail
Complete bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to help keep financial records clean
Support month-end close activities by completing assigned schedules, entries, and follow-ups
Identify, investigate, and help resolve discrepancies in transactions, balances, and supporting documentation
Assist the U.S. finance team with financial reporting support and routine accounting analysis
Communicate clearly in English with U.S. stakeholders and in Spanish with Mexican stakeholders
Maintain organized records and follow established accounting processes within the client’s remote desktop environment
Proactively flag issues, missing information, or process gaps before they delay accounting timelines
Cross-train on related accounting tasks to support a lean finance team and reduce bottlenecks

Requirements

What you’ll need

**Must-Have:**
2 to 3 years of accounting experience, ideally with a strong transactional accounting foundation
Professional working proficiency in both Spanish and English
Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
Exposure to month-end close activities and the ability to complete assigned tasks independently
Clear understanding of U.S. GAAP principles
Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, and reconciliation work
**Nice to Have:**
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or a similar desktop ERP system
Prior experience supporting a U.S.-based finance or accounting team
Dual-monitor home office setup
Experience working through remote desktop software
Long-term contractor experience with a strong record of reliability and low turnover
