About the role
- Provide general support to the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams in a busy logistics environment
- Assist with fortnightly payroll processing for 200+ employees
- Create and maintain staff and customer records in accounting systems
- Support AR functions including: Sending customer statements, Payment reminders, Overdue account follow-ups via email
- Process customer payments via credit card
- Log customer claims into registers and compile required supporting documentation
- Enter data into expense registers and profit reports
- Perform reconciliations and cross-checks to ensure data accuracy and validity
- Support the team with a wide range of ad-hoc and ongoing finance tasks
- Use Excel regularly for data entry, checking, and reporting
Requirements
- A strong support mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
- Comfortable working with numbers; accurate, fast, and confident numerically
- Minimum working proficiency in Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Experience or familiarity with MYOB and XERO is preferred (but not mandatory for the right attitude)
