We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant to support quality control efforts for written transcripts of livestreamed congressional hearings and other events.
Review and compare AI-generated transcripts with original livestream recordings to identify and correct speaker misidentifications, typographical errors, and AI-generated inaccuracies (“hallucinations”).
Edit, format, and perform quality control on written summaries of hearings/events.
Conduct quick and effective online research to verify facts, identify speakers, and confirm contextual accuracy.
Learn and efficiently use AI and other digital tools for transcription review, data processing, and organization.
Provide feedback to improve AI transcription and summarization tools.
Maintain organized workflows and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
Take ownership of assigned processes and work independently while ensuring high standards of accuracy.
Requirements
Excellent written communication skills in English
Strong web search and online research skills
Fast learner, comfortable adopting new AI and data tools
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
Strong listening skills to match spoken dialogue with written transcripts for accuracy checks
Prior experience in transcription review, editing, journalism, legal support, or similar fields is a plus
Familiarity with congressional hearings, government processes, or legislative work is a plus
Experience working with AI tools for transcription or summarization is beneficial
